Rescue Diver
Challenging and rewarding best describes the Rescue Diver course. This course will increase your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond their comfort and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken.
Prerequisites
- 12 years
- Completion of First Aid and CPR Training
- Medical For safety, all students complete a brief questionnaire that asks about medical conditions that could be a problem while diving.
Content
- Self-rescue and diver stress
- Emergency management and equipment
- Panicked diver response
- In-water rescue breathing protocols
- Egress (exits)
- Dive accident scenarios
Duration
- 3 days
- 5 Open Water Dives
Limits
- Maximum Depth 90ft/30m
- No decompression diving
NOTE: This course should be combined with Nitrox Diver, ask for more details. At I-Dive Tec Rec Centers this course is conducted with single tanks using a harness style jacket and wing or a Stabilizer Jacket if you choice.
